Job summary

White Oak Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for our Cardiovascular ICU to extend compassionate, faith-based care in the Maryland community.

The RN will educate patients and families, supervise Level I nurses, and apply ANA standards while delivering safe, high-quality care during 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours weekly, with weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing score on NCLEX.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• Current Maryland State nursing license.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and family through the continuum of care.
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses and support best practices.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards.
• Use equipment and technology correctly and maximize efficiency.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Identify changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students, colleagues and team members.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
• Perform literature searches and apply findings to practice.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care.
