Job summary

Adventist HealthCare in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse II (RN) for the Night Shift in the Heart and Vascular Unit. This role is ideal for new graduates looking to grow their skills while providing compassionate care to patients.

The position is full-time on the night shift. Candidates must graduate from an accredited nursing program, hold a Maryland RN license, and have BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP as required by specialty area.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
• Current Maryland State nursing license, BLS required; ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families through the continuum of care.
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards of practice.
• Use equipment and technology correctly and delegate non-nursing duties appropriately.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Identify impending changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
• Conduct efficient literature searches and apply findings to practice.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participate in change of practice based on evidence.
