Job summary

Adventist HealthCare in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for the Heart and Vascular Unit. You will educate patients and families, mentor staff, and develop patient-centered care plans while adhering to ANA standards and using appropriate equipment to maximize care efficiency.

The role requires at least 1 year of RN experience, Maryland RN license, and BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required by specialty area. Full-time daytime schedule with comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current Maryland State nursing license
• Active BLS certification; ACLS/PALS/NRP as required by specialty area

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families through the continuum of care.
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards of practice.
• Use equipment and technology correctly to maximize efficiency.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Identify impending changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspectives.
• Conduct efficient literature searches and apply findings to practice.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care.
