Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an RN for ICU at a 60-bed facility with a Level 3 trauma unit in Wisconsin. This 13-week contract features a 12-hour night shift (36 hours per shift) and typical ratios of 1:2 (up to 1:3 for stepdown).

Floating to other ICU areas may occur, with CNAs and respiratory therapy available 24/7. Must have RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; experience with stroke, sepsis, pneumonia, post-surgical care, and CRRT; proficiency with art lines, drips, vents, BiPAPs, trachs and codes.

• Proficiency with general ICU skills including art lines, cardiac and other critical drips, vents, bipaps, trachs, and codes.

Responsibilities

• Provide ICU nursing care for stroke, sepsis, pneumonia, post-surgical patients.
• Manage general ICU procedures including art lines, vents, trachs and codes.
• Utilize EMR for charting and operate Alaris/Pyxis systems.
• Support staffing with CNAs and on-site intensivists/hospitalists.

Description:Facility has 60 beds and includes a Level 3 trauma unit.General ICU patient types include general ICU, stroke, sepsis, pneumonia, post-surgical patients, and CRRT.Patient ratios are typically 1:2, with up to 1:3 for stepdown patients.Support on the unit includes 1-2 CNAs, a charge nurse with a reduced patient assignment, and resources like respiratory therapy and hospitalists available 24/7.Intensivists are on-site from 0700-1900, seven days a week.Charting is done through an EMR system and includes specific equipment like Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis med dispensing.Floating to areas with ICU patients may occur if needed.Weekend rotation requires working every third weekend, with potential adjustments to support staffing needs during the week.Every other holiday is expected for coverage.Scrub color is navy blue.Free parking is available.
