Job summary

Cynet Health seeks an ICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment in Wisconsin. The role requires an active nursing license, 2+ years in ICU, and certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (TNCC preferred).

You will care for high-acuity patients in a 16-bed unit with 2 procedural beds, titrating critical drips as needed. Shifts are 12 hours (0700–1930 or 1900–0730); nurse-patient ratios vary by acuity, and floating to other units may occur.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license required.
• ACLS, BLS and NIHSS certifications required; TNCC preferred.
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience.
• Experience with high acuity patients is essential.
• Ability to titrate multiple drips (epinephrine, norepinephrine, insulin).
• High acuity care in a tertiary center environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient care for ICU admissions with 1:1 or 1:2 staffing for high acuity.
• Titrate drips, monitor telemetry, and interpret rhythm strips.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and therapists; participate in cross-unit coverage as needed.
• Ensure timely documentation and adherence to policies; clock in on site.

Description:The nursing unit has 16 beds and 2 additional procedural beds.Nurse-patient ratios are 1:2 or 1:1 for higher acuity patients.Common patient diagnoses include cardiovascular surgery, traumas, and various surgical interventions.Experience with our specific patient populations is essential.High acuity experience is mandatory as we serve as a tertiary care center.Immediate post-operative heart patients are cared for by specifically trained nurses.RNs are required to titrate drips.Common titratable drips include epinephrine, norepinephrine, and insulin.A charge nurse is present on every shift and may take patients depending on the needs.Nursing House Supervisors are available 24/7.Respiratory therapists are on-site 24/7.RNs monitor their own patient's telemetry and read rhythm strips.Shifts are from 0700 to 1930 or 1900 to 0730.Staff self-schedule based on unit needs and approved requests for time off.Every other weekend and holiday commitment is required.Floating to other units may occur based on staffing needs.There is no specific dress code, but professional appearance is expected.Clinicians must clock in and out while on site.
