Job summary

Spencer Hospital in Spencer, IA is seeking an ICU RN to provide specialized nursing care in a fast-paced setting. You will apply the nursing process, monitor patients, and coordinate with the care team on 12-hour shifts.

This role requires IA RN license with BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC; critical care or Medical/Surgical experience preferred; new grads encouraged to apply. Excellent benefits and supportive environment offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized ICU nursing care using the nursing process.

Job description

Location: Spencer, IA Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Primarily days with night, weekend and holiday on-call involvement (United States of America)

Position Highlights: Spencer Hospital is a rural hospital located in northwest Iowa employing over 500+ employees. Responsibilities

• Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care in the ICU
• Assumes the responsibility for the outcome of nursing care during a specified work period
• Collaborates with all available nursing personnel to provide total patient care
• Must have knowledge of and utilize appropriate age-related patient protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of patients

Requirements

• Must be a caring communicator, flexible, able to multitask and be comfortable with technological systems
• IA RN license BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC are required - inhouse education available upon hire
• One year of Medical/Surgical preferred or critical care experience
• New grads with a strong desire for critical care are encouraged to apply

Schedule: 72 hours a pay period Day/Night/Weekend/Holiday Rotation 12 hour shifts 6:30-7 The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
