Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ICU in Charlotte, NC. This 13-week night shift position requires 12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15) and a minimum of 2 years ICU experience with ACLS and BLS certification.

Responsibilities include IV starts, telemetry, ventilator care, rapid response participation, and care for critically ill patients with diverse diagnoses. Floating to Med/Surg may be required; weekend shifts are included.

Description:This position is for a Registered Nurse in an Intensive Care Unit.The unit provides specialized care to critically ill patients with various diagnoses.Patients may include those suffering from DKA, Sickle Cell, Sepsis, Respiratory Distress, Pneumonia, Heart Failure, and Stroke.Nurses will work in a team-oriented environment.Staff to patient ratios will typically be 1:4.Floating to Med/Surg may be required as needed.Weekend shifts will be included in the schedule, with at least 4 weekend shifts every 6 weeks.Key skills required are IV starts, telemetry, management of cardiac drips, and experience with feeding tube care.Nurses will be expected to use rapid response teams effectively.The unit will also require care for ventilated patients and management of heparin protocols.Orientation to the unit will be provided, and EKG testing is required prior to starting.Candidates must be open to various patient care responsibilities and demonstrate professionalism and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
