Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball is seeking a House Supervisor PRN to provide patient-centered leadership and supervision of all house-wide functions during a designated shift. You will supervise staff and ensure policy-driven, high-quality care.

Responsibilities include coordinating care, guiding staff, managing admissions/discharges, and maintaining regulatory standards while fostering teamwork and a superior patient experience.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• 5+ years experience in clinical practice required.
• Current RN license in state(s) of practice or compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for supervision and coordination of all house-wide functions during the designated shift.
• Makes decisions regarding patient care and staff management using established policies/procedures.
• Participates in monitoring, evaluation, and delivery of nursing care.
• Serves as authority in the absence of other nursing management/administrative team.
• Directs staff in emergency situations.
• Supports achievement of internal/external benchmarks and accreditation standards.
• Manages admission and discharge processes for throughput and quality.
• Facilitates interdisciplinary care coordination across departments.
• Promotes exceptional patient experience and ensures regulatory compliance.
