Qualifications

• RN license active in the state; BLS and ACLS required.
• Associate degree or higher in Nursing; leadership experience preferred.
• Experience overseeing staff and coordinating with multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Oversees hospital operations during shifts, ensuring staffing meets patient care needs.
• Monitors census, admissions, discharges, transfers; ensures bed utilization.
• Acts as after-hours administrative contact; resolves inquiries and escalates issues.
• Responds to emergencies and coordinates resources for safe, quality care.
• Serves as incident commander during disasters until relieved.
• Supervises nursing staff with clinical guidance and delegation.
• Ensures compliance with policies and regulatory standards; addresses deviations.
• Handles patient and family concerns with professionalism and empathy.
• Completes midnight census and conducts rounds to assess needs.
• Facilitates communication between staff, physicians, and administration.
