Job summary

Huntsville Memorial Hospital seeks an experienced House Supervisor to allocate nursing staff per shift, ensure safe patient care, and support staff, physicians, patients and families. The role provides administrative continuity and serves as a key resource for clinical areas.

The position requires RN licensure, BSN preferred, and strong leadership, communication, and crisis-management skills. Comprehensive benefits and a collaborative hospital environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of professional nursing; BSN preferred.
• Three years of clinical nursing experience and one year of Charge RN experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure in the state of Texas, or immediately eligible.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 60 days of employment.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications within 90 days.
• TNCC and STABLE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Staffing Coordinator and Nurse Managers to plan staffing for next shift according to nursing care and standards.
• Adjusts daily schedule for illness, emergency or census influx.
• Assists with patient care in all areas, as required.
• Evaluates quality of nursing care in all areas and participates in staff development.
• Serves as a nursing resource person to staff and as liaison to physicians.
• Responds to emergencies and leads resuscitation when needed.
• Maintains infection prevention compliance and promotes patient rights.
