Job summary

Magenta Care LLC seeks an experienced Home Infusion RN to deliver high-quality patient care in the Watertown, SD area. You will travel to clients within a 1–2 hour radius, provide direct nursing care, and coordinate with physicians to ensure comprehensive care.

The role requires a SD RN license (or Compact), 1 year infusion/ER/ICU experience, IV skills, and CPR/BLS. A valid SD driver’s license and reliable transportation are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within RN scope.
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Collaborate with physicians to develop a care plan.
• Facilitate start of care during admission.
• Advocate for patient rights, safety, and preferences.
• Communicate changes to team and physician promptly.
• Deliver home health nursing per standards and policies.
• Educate patients and families on infusion therapy and self-care.

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced home infusion RN who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. The primary location for this position will be in Watertown, SD, with the requirement to travel up to one to two hours outside of Watertown to serve our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care, practicing within the scope of the registered nurse practice act.
• Continuously assess, use nursing diagnosis, implement, plan, and evaluate patient care, actively involving patients and their families in the process.
• Collaborate with physicians and other interdisciplinary team members to develop a comprehensive plan of care that addresses the unique needs of each patient and their family.
• Facilitate patient start of care through the admission process.
• Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their rights, preferences, and safety are upheld.
• Document and effectively communicate any changes in the patient's condition promptly to team members, the Director of Clinical Services, and the physician.
• Provide nursing care to home health patients, adhering to established standards of care and following agency policies and procedures.
• Educate patients and their families on infusion therapy management, potential side effects, and self-care practices

Requirements:

• Valid SD Registered Nurse (RN) license Or Multistate RN License (Compact).
• Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience (Infusion, ER, ICU).
• Excellent IV insertion skills.
• Healthcare provider CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current South Dakota Driver's license with proof of insurability.
• Reliable transportation
