Job summary

Magenta Care LLC in Mitchell, SD is seeking a dedicated home infusion RN to deliver compassionate patient care in the home setting.

The role requires strong communication, empathy, and a commitment to patient privacy, with travel up to one to two hours outside Mitchell to serve our clients.

You will collaborate with physicians, educate patients on infusion therapy, and uphold high standards of care in a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• RN license in SD (or Compact)
• Minimum 1 year RN experience (Infusion, ER, ICU)
• Excellent IV insertion skills
• CPR and BLS certification
• Valid South Dakota driver’s license with proof of insurability

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the RN scope.
• Continuously assess, diagnose, plan, and evaluate patient care with families involved.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to develop care plans.
• Facilitate patient start of care through admission process.
• Advocate for patient rights, preferences, and safety.
• Document and communicate changes in patient condition promptly to team.
• Provide nursing care to home health patients per standards and policies.
• Educate patients and families on infusion therapy management and self-care.

The primary location for this position will be in Mitchell, SD, with the requirement to travel up to one to two hours outside of Mitchell to serve our clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, practicing within the scope of the registered nurse practice act.
• Continuously assess, use nursing diagnosis, implement, plan, and evaluate patient care, actively involving patients and their families in the process.
• Collaborate with physicians and other interdisciplinary team members to develop a comprehensive plan of care that addresses the unique needs of each patient and their family.
• Facilitate patient start of care through the admission process.
• Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their rights, preferences, and safety are upheld.
• Document and effectively communicate any changes in the patient's condition promptly to team members, the Director of Clinical Services, and the physician.
• Provide nursing care to home health patients, adhering to established standards of care and following agency policies and procedures.
• Educate patients and their families on infusion therapy management, potential side effects, and self-care practices.

Requirements

• Valid SD Registered Nurse (RN) license Or Multistate RN License (Compact).
• Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience (Infusion, ER, ICU).
• Excellent IV insertion skills.
• Healthcare provider CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current South Dakota Driver's license with proof of insurability.
• Reliable transportation.
