Impact Recruiting Solutions is seeking an RN Health Care Facility Surveyor for a position with a Quality Improvement Consulting Company, supporting customers nationwide in a technically engaging environment.

Responsibilities of the RN Health Care Facility Surveyor:

The role is 100% remote with up to 75% travel. The Surveyor will participate as a team member or leader in various survey types (re-certification, comparative, complaint investigation, revisits) across long-term care and other healthcare facilities, including ambulatory surgical centers, ICFs/IID, ESRD, PRTF, hospitals, critical access hospitals, and hospices. The main duties involve conducting surveys to assess compliance with federal regulations, including:

  • Preparing off-site, touring facilities, observing care, reviewing records, and interviewing staff and families to verify care quality and compliance
  • Evaluating healthcare systems from care quality to patient rights and facility conditions
  • Communicating deficiencies during reviews and exit conferences to ensure understanding
  • Determining acceptability of correction plans and conducting follow-up surveys
  • Assisting with training and participating in work groups as needed

Requirements:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Completion of CMS's Long-Term Care Basic Training and passing the SMQT
  • At least two years of recent surveyor experience in long-term care facilities
  • Current RN licensure
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to manage survey processes independently
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and collaborate effectively
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% regularly
