JOB TITLE (#1173): RN Health Care Facility Surveyor - Oklahoma

CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training and SMQT certification are required.

Impact Recruiting Solutions is seeking an RN Health Care Facility Surveyor to support a Quality Improvement Consulting Company. The role involves working in a technically engaging environment supporting internal and external customers nationwide.

Requirements of the RN Health Care Facility Surveyor:

  1. Must have an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  2. Must have completed CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training and passed the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT).
  3. At least two (2) years of recent experience as a surveyor accrediting or certifying long-term care facilities.
  4. Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  5. Demonstrated independent decision-making skills to manage the survey process effectively.
  6. Ability to set priorities independently and collaboratively during survey tasks.
  7. Ability to discuss conflicts openly, seek assistance when needed, and resolve issues effectively.
  8. Willingness to travel up to 75% regularly.

Responsibilities of the RN Health Care Facility Surveyor:

The position is fully remote with up to 75% travel. The Surveyor will serve as a team member or leader on various surveys, including re-certification, complaint investigation, and revisits, across diverse healthcare facilities such as ambulatory surgical centers, ICFs/IIDs, ESRD, PRTF, hospitals, and hospices. Key activities include:

  1. Conducting on-site surveys to assess compliance with Federal regulations.
  2. Preparing for surveys through off-site research, facility tours, care observations, record reviews, staff and family interviews.
  3. Evaluating care quality, patient rights, and facility physical conditions.
  4. Communicating deficiencies clearly during site reviews and exit conferences.
  5. Assessing and approving corrective action plans.
  6. Performing follow-up visits to monitor corrective actions.
  7. Participating in training sessions and work groups as needed.
