Job summary

DESC (Downtown Emergency Service Center) in Seattle seeks a Registered Nurse to join a multi-disciplinary team at emergency shelter sites. The RN delivers in-the-m moment medical access, conducts assessments, and links clients to behavioral health and primary care services in a low-barrier setting.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license in Washington (WA) in good standing.
• Experience with engaging challenging client populations and diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to pass a WA criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assessments, RN case management, medical monitoring, wound care and other treatments.
• Coordinate with prescribing providers and other staff to ensure follow‑up care.
• Maintain complete clinical records and participate in quality assurance activities.
• Engage with clients using trauma-informed care and motivational interviewing to support adherence.
