Job summary

DESC is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) for the Crisis Solutions Center (CSC) and ORCA Center in Seattle, WA. This temporary position supports homeless and formerly homeless adults with psychiatric and medical needs, coordinating medication services for the team.

The RN will work across DESC facilities with day and night shifts, and will receive a $3.25 per hour night shift differential. Benefits include 403(b), EAP, Sick & Safe Time; union representation is SEIU Healthcare 1199NW.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate medical aspects of care including monitoring and administration of medications.
• Provide education to clients regarding their treatment, medical and mental health condition.
• Develop and engage clients in health promotion activities such as health clinics and disease prevention.
• Participate in psychiatric consultation, supervision, and team meetings; maintain clinical records.
