Job summary

DESC (Downtown Emergency Service Center) seeks a Registered Nurse for its Crisis Solutions Center and ORCA Center in Seattle, WA. The RN collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to provide psychiatric and medical care to homeless adults, including MOUD initiation and nursing services around acute and chronic needs.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed, harm-reduction approaches, strong documentation, and coordination with psychiatry and primary care, with a centralized nursing leadership

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Washington in good standing.
• Knowledge of psychiatric medications, side effects and administration.
• Experience or interest in working with adults experiencing homelessness and deinstitutionalized care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate medical aspects of care for clients within DESC’s CSC and ORCA teams.
• Provide education on treatment, medical and mental health conditions to clients.
• Perform clinical assessments, monitoring, and medication management.
• Participate in team meetings, supervision and quality assurance activities.
