Job summary

DESC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the SAGE multidisciplinary team serving adults experiencing homelessness in Seattle. The RN will provide medication management, health assessments, patient education, and coordination of care with internal DESC and external partners under supervision of the Clinic Nursing Supervisor.

Requirements include Washington RN licensure, experience with harm reduction and trauma-informed care, and ability to engage with a diverse client base.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license in Washington (in good standing).
• Ability to pass a WA state criminal background check.
• Knowledge of Harm Reduction.
• Ability to relate to diverse clients.
• Preferred: bilingual Spanish/English.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing services including assessments, medication administration, wound and foot care.
• Coordinate care with DESC and external providers for primary, urgent, mental health, dental, and reproductive services.
• Respond to medical emergencies until higher level care arrives.
• Educate clients about acute and chronic conditions, medications and self-care.
