Job summary
Downtown Emergency Services Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to work with clients requiring psychiatric and medical attention. You will coordinate medication services with the team under supervision and ensure comprehensive care coordination across clinical staff.
The role requires WA RN licensure, knowledge of psychiatric medications, and the ability to work flexible hours in a team-focused setting at DESC’s Seattle facilities.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Washington in good standing.
- Knowledge of psychiatric medications, side effects and methods of administration.
- Interest or experience in working with clients who are difficult to engage.
- Ability to drive a vehicle and have a valid WA driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate client care with a multidisciplinary team of social workers and mental health staff.
- Coordinate medical aspects of care under ARNP Supervisor guidance, including medication administration.
- Provide education to clients regarding their treatment and health conditions.
- Assess mental status and monitor treatment effects and side effects.
- Provide training and consultation to staff on medical/mental health issues.
