Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Float Pool, primarily nights. You will join a supportive team providing direct patient care with focus on assessments, care planning, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license is required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• BLS certification within 30 days; ACLS and PALS within six months; NIH/Handle with Care where applicable.
• One to two years bedside RN experience; two to four years critical care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and accurate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
