Job summary

TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center in Franklin, TN seeks a Float Pool Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across units, collaborating with physicians and the care team. You will practice within established nursing models and advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, supporting the hospital’s mission and values.

The role requires active RN licensure in the state or a compact state, an Associate Degree in Nursing, and ACLS/BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS within required

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state of practice or compact state.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale and PALS must be obtained within stated timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor response, and document care in the medical record.
• Provide timely, compassionate care and promptly respond to patient requests.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications and follow-up measures.
