Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center is seeking a Float Pool Nurse to perform direct patient care within the Registered Nurse practice act. The role involves collaborating across units, ensuring safe and compassionate care, and supporting performance improvement initiatives.

The RN will assess and respond to patient needs, administer medications, monitor vitals, and participate in multidisciplinary care planning. TN licensure and BLS are required; ACLS within 6 months of hire is preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a nursing degree and current licensure
• 2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred
• BLS required; ACLS within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Assess plans and evaluate patients' care needs and carry out physician orders.
• Administer medications, change dressings, cleanse wounds, and monitor vital signs.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition using electronic documentation systems.
• Educate patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary care planning team.
