Job summary

TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center is seeking a Float Pool Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across units. You will collaborate with the care team, assess patients at admission and during shifts, document care, administer medications, and respond to requests promptly.

Requirements include RN license in Tennessee or compact state, an Associate's Degree in Nursing, and certifications such as ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Tennessee or compact state required.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• ACLS within 6 months of start date; BLS within 30 days; NIH Stroke Scale within 30 days; PALS within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient's condition at admission and each shift; report changes promptly.
• Administer medications, monitor responses, and document care in the medical record.
• Provide timely, compassionate care and respond to patient requests.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up.
