Job summary

TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville is seeking a Float Pool Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centered care across units. You will assess, respond to changes, administer medications, and educate patients and families within established nursing models.

Qualified candidates hold RN licensure, an Associate Degree in Nursing, and must obtain ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS within specified timeframes. This role supports flexible staffing and collaborative care.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the relevant state or compact state.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• PALS must be obtained within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition on admission and each shift, report changes.
• Administer medications, monitor responses, document care in records.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about condition, plan, meds, and follow-up.

Skills

ACLS within 6 months

BLS within 30 days
