Job summary

UNC Health in North Carolina is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Central Staffing Office/Health System Float Pool, supporting UNC Medical Center and UNC Rex Campuses with system-wide staffing. The role floats across Acute Care, Critical Care, and Emergency Department units, 24 hours per week, with 8- or 12-hour shifts and competitive shift differentials; part-time benefits eligible.

Qualifications

• Three years of inpatient hospital nursing experience.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or higher within seven years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent clinical nursing care across UNC Health hospital settings.
• Float to multiple locations and acuity levels as needed.
• Coordinate care with the Nursing Manager/Director and interdisciplinary team.
• Deliver patient education and discharge planning as part of care.
• Participate in performance improvement and safety initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to nursing standards, policies, and procedures.
