Job summary

UNC Health Rex Raleigh and UNC Rex Holly Springs campuses seek a compassionate nurse for the Staffing Response Team (inpatient float pool). Float to at least two service areas, covering 12-hour shifts as needed, across ICU, ED, and Medicine/Surgery acute units.

Per diem, onsite work, with days schedule and rotating assignments based on staffing needs. The role requires NC RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and a BSN preferred, with 2+ years acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (BSN) from an accredited School of Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Documents patient assessment, care provided and response to care according to procedure.
• Maintains a safe environment for patients and staff; follows fall prevention and skin care protocols.
• Assesses patient condition, communicates with physicians, and ensures delegated tasks are completed.
• Develops and implements an individualized plan of care with the health care team; initiates plan on admission.
• Implements nursing care and evaluates outcomes; prevents complications; documents accurately.
