Job summary

UNC Health Care is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join the centralized staffing pool that supports UNC Medical Center and UNC Rex Campuses. The role involves floating to multiple UNC hospital locations and delivering care in acute care, critical care, and emergency department settings, with per diem scheduling.

Applicants should have at least 3 years of inpatient hospital experience, NC RN licensure, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• Three (3) years of inpatient hospital nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Other life support credentials as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care across UNC Health hospital settings.
• Float to multiple UNC Hospital locations with at least two acuity levels of care.
• Utilize nursing process to coordinate and deliver patient care.

Education

Graduation from a school of professional nursing

Nursing degree progress requirement (Bachelor's within four years of employment; Bachelor's or Master's within seven years)
