Job summary

UNC Health is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for a system-wide Central Staffing Office/Health System Float Pool. The role involves hands-on care in Acute Care, Critical Care, and Emergency Department across UNC Medical Center and UNC Rex Campuses.

The position offers 24 hours per week, 8- or 12-hour shifts, and eligibility for part-time benefits. Applicants should have at least 3 years of inpatient hospital experience and NC RN licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing is required.
• If hired after Jan 6, 2014, must pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Nursing within seven years.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per the nursing process across UNC Health hospital settings.
• Float to multiple UNC Hospital locations with varying acuity levels.
• Participate in education to meet learning needs and promote patient safety.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to plan and implement care.
