Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL is hiring Registered Nurses to provide direct patient care using the nursing process, health teaching, and supportive care across units. The role collaborates with physicians, psychologists, podiatrists, and other team members to deliver safe, compassionate care.

Applicants should be licensed or eligible as an RN in Alabama, possess BLS, and may need ACLS/PALS depending on the unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as an RN by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS and/or PALS may be required depending on unit/department.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process to promote health and prevent illness.
• Coordinate and deliver care with the health-care team under physician or other licensed provider supervision.
• Delegate and manage nursing care for patients and families in a timely, cost-effective manner.
