Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL is seeking a registered nurse to apply the nursing process in promoting health and preventing illness. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective care 7 a.m.–7 p.m. and 7 p.m.–7 a.m.

shifts, including weekends. Eligible employees may access educational support and PTO, with PSLF eligibility noted. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, an Alabama RN license, BLS (AHA) with ACLS/PALS consideration by unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in Alabama required.
• BLS certification required or to be obtained within 30 days.
• ACLS and/or PALS may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to promote health and prevent illness.
• Coordinate and manage all aspects of nursing care with the health team and family.
• Delegate and supervise patient care in collaboration with physicians and other professionals.
