UAB Medicine in Alabama is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care and counseling in health promotion and illness prevention. The RN will use the nursing process with a systematic approach to data gathering, assessment and evaluation in collaboration with physicians and the health care team.

The role requires an accredited nursing program graduate, an active RN license or eligibility in Alabama, and current BLS certification with possible ACLS/PALS requirements depending on the unit.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is required or to be obtained within 30 days.
• Depending on the unit, ACLS and/or PALS may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Utilize the nursing process to care for and counsel individuals in health promotion and illness prevention.
• Employ systematic critical-thinking to guide data gathering, assessment, nursing judgment, intervention and evaluation.
• Identify patient needs using AACN Synergy Model.
• Delegate, coordinate and manage all aspects of nursing care with the patient, family and health care team.
