Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama seeks a Registered Nurse to provide and manage patient care in a clinical area, using the nursing process from assessment to evaluation. You will collaborate with patients, families and the health team while upholding professional standards.

Active RN license in Alabama is required; CPR certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days. ACLS is required for TKC, PALS preferred; Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred for Hospital roles, or an Associate's for

Qualifications

• Graduate of a School of Nursing program approved and accredited by the Alabama State Board of Nursing required.
• RN license in Alabama required.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS certification required or must be obtained within six (6) months for TKC areas and within one (1) month for Hospital locations.
• PALS preferred for TKC areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide and manage patient care in a clinical area for specific age and patient population.
• Deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation.
• Interact with patients, families and health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
