Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Georgia is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to deliver safe, patient-family centered perioperative care across the OR and related areas. You will function as the RN first assistant during operative and other invasive procedures, and may act as RN circulator, with adherence to credentialing and competency verification.

A sign-on bonus is available; required CNOR, BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and Georgia RN licensure or NLC multistate; two years

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program.
• Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program, which includes didactic and clinical components.
• 2 years perioperative RN or RNFA experience.
• 3 years minimum experience as RN or Surgical Tech in the CVOR, if in CVOR.
• Current Georgia RN license or NLC/eNCL Multistate License.
• CNOR, BCLS, ACLS, and PALS credentials where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective perioperative care across the OR and perioperative areas.
• Function as RN First Assistant during operative and invasive procedures per credentials.
• Serve as RN circulator in the OR when applicable, ensuring patient safety and quality care.
