Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital seeks an experienced RN First Assistant to deliver safe, high-quality perioperative care across the OR and related areas. The role includes acting as an RN First Assistant during operative/procedural cases and performing circulator duties as needed.

Requirements include CNOR and BLS certifications, a minimum of 2 years perioperative RN/RNFA experience (3 years in CVOR if applicable), and completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program. Georgia RN licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing with an active RN license.
• Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program (didactic and clinical).
• Minimum 2 years perioperative RN/RNFA experience; 3 years in CVOR preferred.
• CNOR and BLS certifications required.
• Georgia state licensure (NLC/eNLC multistate allowed).

Responsibilities

• Function as RN First Assistant during operative and invasive procedures.
• Provide perioperative patient-family centered care and act as RN circulator as needed.
