Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse First Assistant to deliver safe and high-quality patient-family centered perioperative care. You will function as an RN first assistant during operative and invasive procedures, and may also serve as RN circulator as needed.

Requirements include a nursing degree, completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program, 2 years perioperative RN or RNFA experience, and Georgia RN licensure with CNOR/CRNFA credentials where applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program (required).
• Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program (required).
• 2 years perioperative RN or RNFA experience (required).
• 3 years minimum as an RN or Surgical Tech in the CVOR if CVOR work is involved (required).
• Georgia State RN licensure or NLC/eNCL multistate licensure current (required).
• CNOR and CRNFA certifications required (where applicable).
• BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective perioperative patient care as RN first assistant and, when needed, as RN circulator.
• Collaborate with surgical team to support operative procedures and perioperative continuum.
