Qualifications

• Licensed RN with BLS and CNOR credentials.
• Diploma or degree in nursing with RNFA program completion.
• At least 2 years perioperative nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon in general and specialized surgeries with prepped trays and supplies.
• Provide patient care and support throughout perioperative period.
• Administer medications as directed during procedures.
• Scrub and circulate based on unit needs and assist in room turnover.
• Drape, expose, and handle tissue; monitor bleeding and wound closure as needed.
• Position the patient on the operating table and ensure safety.
• Monitor vital signs and communicate patient status to team.
• Educate patient and family on operation and aftercare.
• Document and communicate health status and progress post-op.
• Review patient history and health assessments for procedures.
• Participate in research and contribute to cost-effective operations.
• Organize supplies and equipment to maintain efficiency and control costs.
