Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon in general and specialized surgeries; ensure trays, instrumentation and supplies are ready.
• Provide patient care and support; monitor vitals.
• Administer medications; assist in draping, exposure and tissue handling.
• Position and prepare patient on operating table; assist with post-op assessments.
• Educate patient and family on operation and aftercare; communicate health status to family.
