Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced RN First Assistant (RNFA) to support surgeons during general and specialized procedures. The RNFA will ensure availability of trays, instrumentation and supplies, and will work closely with the OR team to maintain optimal patient care throughout the perioperative period.

Responsibilities include assisting with surgeries, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing postoperative assessments.

Qualifications

• RNFA certification or perioperative nursing competence is required.
• BLS within 30 days – American Heart Association.
• CNOR certification preferred or required as listed.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon in general and specialized surgeries with team.
• Provide patient care and support; administer medications.
• Scrub and circulate based on unit needs and maintain supplies.
