Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking an experienced Family Birthing/Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Rust Medical Center team in Rio Rancho, NM. You will provide direct patient care across labor, delivery, and recovery using a standards-based framework while collaborating with obstetricians and midwives.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• State Nursing License NM or Compact required.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• NRP preferred or required depending on unit and policy.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and manage patients during labor, delivery, and recovery.
• Perform fetal heart rate monitoring and interpret results.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and staff during deliveries and emergencies.
• Provide education to new mothers on breastfeeding, infant care, and postpartum recovery.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and epidurals; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies, including hemorrhage or fetal distress.
