Job summary

The Family Birthing Center at Presbyterian Santa Fe Medical Center is seeking an experienced Family Birthing/Labor & Delivery RN to join the team. You will provide direct patient care through the nursing process for patients during labor, delivery, and recovery, prioritizing care with a standards-based framework.

The role supports professional growth and a strong team environment. Qualifications include an Associate Degree in Nursing and NM or Compact state license, BLS, and NRP.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing; NM or compact state license; BLS required at time of hire; NRP.
• RN responsibilities include labor, delivery, and recovery patient care.
• Experience with fetal monitoring and obstetric procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and manage patients during labor, delivery, and recovery.
• Perform and interpret fetal heart rate monitoring and tests.
• Collaborate with obstetricians and midwives during deliveries and emergencies.
• Educate new mothers on breastfeeding, infant care, and postpartum recovery.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and epidurals while watching for adverse reactions.
• Respond rapidly to obstetric emergencies, including hemorrhage or distress.
