Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor and Delivery team in Rio Rancho, NM. We welcome applications from both new graduates and experienced RNs, with a residency program for new grads including seminars, mentoring, and rounds.

You will care for expectant mothers and newborns across labor, delivery, and postpartum, collaborating with obstetricians and midwives, and supporting breastfeeding and postpartum education.

Qualifications

• RN requires Associate Degree in Nursing.
• State license NM or compact state.
• BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to expectant mothers, newborns, and families during labor, delivery, and postpartum.
• Monitor fetal heart rate and other diagnostics.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and healthcare staff during deliveries, including cesarean sections or emergencies.
• Educate mothers on breastfeeding, infant care, and postpartum recovery.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and epidurals with monitoring.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies promptly.
