Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department for a nights role on a 3x12-hour schedule. A commitment incentive of $10,000–$20,000 is offered, with opportunities to develop in a 32-bed ED that emphasizes teamwork and patient-centered care.

The unit features self-scheduling, weekend rotation, and strong emphasis on qualifications including NC RN licensure, BLS, ACLS/PALS, and 2+ years of ED experience. Comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• Two or more years of RN Emergency Department experience required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
