Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. This full-time position features 3x12 hour shifts with a mid-shift 9am-9pm schedule, offering a robust bonus program and a supportive, patient-centered team culture focused on high-quality care.

Responsibilities include accurate patient assessments, timely interventions, and comprehensive documentation while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• Two or more years of RN Emergency Department experience required.

Responsabilités

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

Connaissances

RN ED experience

Active NC RN license

BLS within 30 days

ACLS within 6 months

PALS within 6 months

Formation

Bachelor's degree preferred
