Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks an experienced Registered Nurse in New Jersey to deliver evidence-based nursing care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patients and families.

Qualifications

• Active RN license to work at the assigned HMH location.
• BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Six months of relevant nursing experience OR active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
• Strong teamwork, accountability, and commitment to ongoing education for high-quality patient care.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing practices according to the most up-to-date evidence-based research, policies, and standards of care to provide safe and excellent patient care.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Communicate and coordinate the plan of care with the health care team.
• Provide patient/family education as needed.
• Document patient assessments and plan-of-care in electronic records.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Discharge patients to ensure safe transitioning and continuum of care.
• Uphold organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
