Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Registered Professional Nurse license.
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certification.
• BSN strongly preferred or must obtain within 3 years.
• Six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience OR active Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency Program participant.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, strong accountability, teamwork, and passion to deliver high quality care.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research, policies, and standards of care to provide safe, patient-centered care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and health care team regarding patient status and plans.
• Responsible for patient satisfaction and care experience per standards.
• Medication administration using current clinical documentation technology to ensure safe delivery.
• Patient and family-centered care to optimize health and disease management.
• Interdisciplinary collaboration to manage care plans from admission to discharge.
