Job summary

Pruitthealth is seeking a Clinical Competency Coordinator to lead education and competency assessment for clinical staff. The role focuses on role modeling, quality education, and ongoing evaluation of care delivery through bedside observation and documentation review.

You will develop and implement orientation and ongoing learning plans, coordinate with DHS, and ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards within the facility.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in state of practice required.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience with adult learning and staff education preferred.
• Experience in acute care or long-term care settings encouraged.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word; Excel and PowerPoint preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical competency assessments and training needs for staff.
• Deliver education on clinical skills, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
• Participate in interview and selection of clinical staff.
• Conduct initial and annual competency assessments during orientation and as needed.
• Train preceptors and oversee the preceptor program to maintain standards.
