Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse Educator to foster a culture of excellence and learning across clinical staff. You will assess competency, provide targeted education, and drive quality improvement through ongoing evaluation and documentation.

You will also oversee orientations, train preceptors, coordinate with DHS, and ensure adherence to policies, infection control, and safety standards in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in good standing with a nursing degree from an accredited program.
• Experience in implementing and maintaining policy-driven practices is highly desirable.
• Experience in providing patient, family and/or staff education strongly encouraged.
• CPR Instructor certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical competency assessment and training needs of staff.
• Provide education on clinical skills, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
• Participate in interviewing and selecting clinical staff.
• Conduct initial competency assessments during orientation and annually.
• Develop and oversee preceptor program and train new partners.
• Meet regularly with DHS to review learning needs and education plans.
• Maintain documentation of partner education in accordance with regulations and policies.
