Job summary

PruittHealth seeks a Registered Nurse Educator/Clinical Competency Coordinator to lead staff education, competency assessment, and preceptor development in a post-acute care setting. The role emphasizes hands-on training, quality improvement, and injury prevention.

You will collaborate with unit managers, DHS, and nursing leadership to maintain regulatory compliance, implement infection control practices, and promote ongoing professional growth through Pruitt University resources.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current RN license in state of practice.
• CPR (BLS) certification.
• Within six months of hire: IV Certification, Pain Management, Wound Care, Respiratory Care, and CCC Certification.
• Within twelve months obtain American Heart Association CPR Instructor certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates clinical competency assessment and training needs of clinical staff.
• Provides education on clinical topics to develop skills and critical thinking.
• Participates in interview and selection of clinical staff.
• Completes competency assessments during orientation and periodically.
• Oversees preceptor program and trains staff to support new partners.
• Maintains infection control program and ensures regulatory compliance.
