TEEMA Solutions Group is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 198-bed Level III trauma center in Farmington, NM. The role involves functioning in a team nursing model with a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, caring for patients with a variety of critical conditions. Applicants must have an Associate Degree in Nursing, a minimum of 2 years acute care experience, and must obtain New Mexico RN licensure prior to starting.
The position offers mid-shifts with three 12-hour shifts per week. Ideal candidates will have experience with trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation.
This Emergency Department RN opening is located in Farmington, NM, at a 198-bed Level III trauma center serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah. The facility operates a 48-bed ED with flex space and holds PCI, Mammography, and Laboratory accreditations, with trauma cases ranging from Level I through Level III flown in due to the hospital's regional position. Clinical services span medical, surgical, rehabilitation, a childbirth center, cancer center, nephrology, pediatrics, inpatient behavioral health, and day surgery.
The ED RN functions within a team nursing and Pod System model alongside a department-based social worker and a dedicated unit educator. The unit maintains a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio in the main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track, caring for a patient population that frequently presents with ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, substance abuse and psychiatric disorders, CHF, chest pain, and abdominal pain. Clinicians are expected to manage trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation cases. Equipment in use includes Zoll Defibrillators, Level One Blood Transfusers, QinFlow Blood Warmers, Hospira Plum360 pumps, and Ultrasound-Guided IV placement, with documentation in Cerner.
Mid shift, working a combination of 10:00 AM–10:00 PM and 12:00 PM–12:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week.
