Job summary

Career Land Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department of a 198-bed Level III trauma center in Farmington, NM, with a focus on pediatric patients.

You will work days in a 48-bed ED with flex space, using a team nursing and pod model. Ratios are 4:1 in the main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track. You will manage trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis and moderate sedation cases, along with chest pain, abdominal pain, COPD and behavioral health presentations.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher with an RN license.
• At least 2 years of acute care experience in an emergency department.
• Experience with trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis and moderate sedation.

Responsibilities

• Manage trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis and moderate sedation cases in the ED.
• Handle chest pain, abdominal pain, COPD and behavioral health presentations.
• Work in a 48-bed ED using a team nursing and pod model; Cerner and ultrasound-guided IV placement.

Requirements

• BLS on submission; other certifications can be obtained after hire
• New Mexico or compact licensure is not required to apply, but must be obtained before the start date
